Jig beneficiation is one of the main methods of gravity beneficiation. It is widely used in the gravity separation of coarse, medium and fine-grained ores, such as the separation of weak magnetic minerals such as limonite, hematite and manganese, as well as the separation of metal minerals such as lead, tungsten, tin, placer gold and antimony. There are also separation fields of barite, fluorite, celestite and other non-metallic minerals, with good beneficiation effect. The working principle of the jig is: make the ore particles with different specific gravity layered according to the specific gravity in the vertically moving medium, and the mineral particles with larger specific gravity are located in the lower layer, that is, the heavy product (concentrate); Mineral particles with smaller specific gravity are located in the upper layer, that is, light products (tailings).
The selected ore is continuously fed to the sieve plate of the jigging chamber to form a thick material layer. The rising water flow is periodically pumped through the sieve plate to make the bed rise loose, and then the water flow drops (or stops rising). In this process, particles with different densities are relatively transferred, heavy minerals enter the lower layer, light minerals enter the upper layer, and concentrate and tailings are obtained after being discharged respectively. This product is produced by the only enterprise designated by the Ministry of mines and implements the industry standard.
The difference of sawtooth wave jig is that the jigging pulse curve is sawtooth waveform, the rising water flow is fast and the falling water flow is slow, the bed is lifted and falls slowly as a whole, and the effective loosening time is long. It can greatly improve the processing capacity of unit screen surface, reduce the lower limit of particle size recovery, and save a lot of water under the screen. Compared with the industrial test of sine wave jig, the recovery of squatting wave jig is increased by SN: 3.01%, WO3: 5.5%, Pb: 1.63%, Zn: 2.04%, and the water consumption is reduced by 30-75%.
The larger the density difference of minerals to be separated in the ore, the wider the range of feed concentration. For gold bearing placer ore, when the feed particle size is less than 25 mm, it can be selected without classification, and the lower limit of recovery can be up to 0.05 mm. For general metal ore, graded selection can effectively improve the separation index and improve the processing capacity of the equipment.
