Causes of overheating and abnormal sound of magnetic separator motor:
① Poor lubrication or serious wear of bearing; ② Fan blades fall off or wear; ③ Poor contact of switch circuit, or disconnection and single-phase running; ④ The voltage is too low.
2. The sound of the magnetic separator is abnormal during operation, the cylinder is stuck by obstacles, and even the cylinder cannot rotate, and the bottom box vibrates.
The reason is that it is often stuck by the object in the bottom box, and then the magnetic block falls off, which makes the cylinder rattle, and in serious cases, the cylinder skin will be scratched. At this time, stop for maintenance and eliminate the fault.
3. The reducer is overheated. The reason is:
① Insufficient oil or poor oil quality; ② The gear and worm are worn too much, or the meshing is not good; ③ Poor lubrication or serious wear of bearing.
4. The magnetic field strength of the magnetic separator becomes weak. The main reasons for analysis are:
① The temperature is too high; ② Sun exposure; ③ Acid base corrosion. It can be measured with a Gauss meter. The magnetic separator is composed of base, lower magnetic system, rotating cage, upper magnetic system, hollow shaft, concentrate tank, transmission device, etc. When installing the machine base, measure its elevation and levelness based on the hollow bearing bush base. The positioning of the lower magnetic system is based on the base. The clearance between the rotating cage and the upper and lower magnetic systems must be adjusted accurately, and the limit deviation of the clearance is 0 + 1mm.
